Ten years ago, HUF SF closed down its stores in San Francisco after a nine-year run. Keith Hufnagel first opened his first store in 2002 in SF’s Tenderloin District which was the hot spot for skate and streetwear plus highly sought-after sneakers that were hard to find. HUF was known for their iconic San Francisco-themed sneakers especially the HUF x Nike SB Air Trainer “Gold Digger“ and Nike Air Force 1 Low and Air Max 90 “HUFquake.” This was just the beginning of the brand’s journey to gaining worldwide recognition.

After the brand relocated to Los Angeles, HUF is set to open its doors and return to the city where it all began. The original store attracted not only skaters, but individuals from all walks of life from artists, sneakerheads, designers, musicians, film directors, and much more. Keith was a pillar in the SF scene that we all wanted to be a part of.
