A Ho Chi Minh City factory that supplies footwear for the likes of adidas<\/a> and Nike<\/a> is shutting down operations due to a COVID-19 outbreak detected at the plant according to Reuters<\/a>. Vietnam’s health ministry stated that the factory would be shut down for 10 days in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Pouyuen Vietnam employs over 56,000 people and is Ho Chi Minh City’s largest employer. COVID-19 has disrupted supply chains for footwear brands and has resulted in shortened supply as well as delayed release dates for sought-after sneakers.
