Nike<\/strong><\/a> running pays homage to its roots with a new colorway of the Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% 2<\/strong>. Typically the colorways of the NEXT% 2 have been bright and fluorescent for runners but Nike takes us back to 1972 with the retro color palette.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The year 1972 is a huge part of Nike\u2019s history, where founders Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight debuted their first shoes under Nike Inc. (Originally Blue Ribbon Sports), the Nike Cortez<\/a> and Nike Moon Shoe in 1972.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top of the funky colorway, there\u2019s 72 patterned over the tongue and a badge on the lateral side of the heel. The ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% 2 comes with a full-length propulsion carbon fiber plate for energy return, ZoomX is implemented for cushioning without sacrificing responsiveness, and a Vaporweave upper for breathability and fit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% 2<\/strong> \u201872 is set to release in the near future and will retail for $250 USD at Nike.com<\/a> and select retailers.<\/p>\n\n\n
