It’s hard to believe that any shade of purple could ever catch on the way “Eggplant” has. From the Foamposite One to the Air Penny III, this hue has adorned a number of classic Nike Basketball silhouettes. Now the Air Pippen II, which we haven’t seen in a number of years, is set to release in an “Eggplant” look.

The namesake hue is used for the entirety of the leather upper and the finish gives a color-shifting effect. The Swoosh and midsole accent are both glossy black. Is “Eggplant” a good look on this shoe, or is Nike applying it to too many models? Head to the comments section and weigh in.

Nike Air Pippen II
