In 1991, Los Angeles-based streetwear brand Union opened to the public. Thirty years later, the brand has transcended beyond just fashion, cultivating both a strong cultural and social impact across New York and LA. Now in 2021, the Chris Gibbs owned brand is humbly celebrating its 30th anniversary with multiple collaborations, including a special project with Jordan Brand.

Previously, the dynamic duo combined artistic visions to create two historic collaborations. The first came by way of the Air Jordan 1, which released in both a “Black Toe” and “Storm Blue” iteration. Both featured a split colorway and in combination with the Union LA name, enabled both pairs to be touted as two of the best AJ1 releases ever. Last year, the duo followed up the aforementioned project by dropping two controversial Air Jordan 4s, which garnered unique attention due its tongue design. However, after closer inspection and on-foot wear, both the “Off-Noir” and “Guava Ice” pairs became a favorite for many.
