Joining in the festivities of NYC’s virtual Puerto Rican Day Parade earlier this year, Nike<\/a><\/strong> looks to have scheduled another drop for La Borinqu\u00e9n with the Air Max 97<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 With a dated history recognizing Puerto Rico<\/strong> through a series of special shoes, the Swoosh adds to the lineage. With all pairs featuring iconic colors as a shout-out to Puerto Rico, this Air Max 97 continues the tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With an upper built from a Metallic Silver base, this edition features Varsity Red detailing on certain aspects. The Metallic Silver part of the shoe makes up the mesh underlay & tongue as well as the leather paneling. Similar to the \u201cSilver Bullet\u201d Air Max 97, the rope laces are silver & the full-length sole features a black & white combination. The Puerto Rican flag adorns the tongue tag of this model (this time they seem to have got the direction correct).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially dropping earlier this year from Nike & select retailers for $175, the Nike Air Max 97 OG SP “Puerto Rican Day”<\/strong> has now appeared on SNKRS for a restock.
