Nike\u2019s first modern running sneaker, the Nike Cortez<\/a> was worn by the brand\u2019s top sprinters. Slowly, the sneaker\u2019s popularity would transition from the track to the street, largely due to its emerging popularity on the West Coast. Through cities like Los Angeles, the low-profile runner would be one of the recognizable sneakers to ever release. In homage to the City of Angels, the Nike Cortez is prepared to release in an \u201cL.A.\u201d colorway.<\/p>\n This iteration of the iconic Nike sneaker is seen in its classic white leather upper. However, features of blue are seen streaking across the Swoosh logo and sock liner. In bright red cursive lettering, the words \u201cLos Angeles\u201d are seen overlaying the entire mid-panel.
