All-Star Weekend 2020 was filled with a lot of highlights. From Virgil Abloh’s collaborative Air Jordan 5<\/a><\/strong> to LeBron James debuting another Space Jam 2<\/em>-inspired colorway<\/a><\/strong>, a lot of the attention in Chicago was centered around the sneakers that flooded the streets.<\/p>\n In between all of the commotion that was ASW, LeBron James and Chicago natives Anthony Davis and Virgil Abloh made a stop at the Boys & Girl’s Club as part of a panel that officially announced the partnership between Nike and the\u00a0Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boys & Girls Club in the East Garfield Park.<\/p>\n Virgil, LeBron and Anthony discussed the importance of giving back to the community. In addition to that, the designer and Los Angeles Lakers players judged a dunk contest featuring the members of the Boys and Girls Club.<\/p>\n The partnership encompasses new facilities and off-court programming that goes beyond the game of basketball. The brand will launch the Nike All-Star Academy that will challenge participants on-the-court with trainings and clinics from Nike Master Trainers and experienced coaches.<\/p>\n The Academy will provide club members with exposure to sport-related education topics through workshops and seminars in the areas of sport journalism, science and product design.<\/p>\n Take a look at images recapping the event below.<\/p>\n
