During the 1972 Olympics, American long-distance\u00a0runner Frank Shorter was out front in a race when an “imposter” entered the stadium a ran a fake race all the way to victory. That infamous moment in American athletic history inspires this new release from adidas, for which they’ve offered up a\u00a0ZX500 RM\u00a0in “Bold Gold” and an\u00a0I-5923 in “Collegiate Royal.”<\/p>\n

The ZX500 RM is a representation of Shorter, with his Olympic\u00a0number 1014 stamped on the tongue. Its counterpart, the I-5923, is signed “xxxx” in an ode to the marathon itself.<\/p>\n

Look for the adidas\u00a0Originals Frank Shorter vs. The Imposter” Pack soon at select retailers including 43einhalb<\/a>.<\/p>\n
