A new trend began in 2009, when a number of companies started adding vulcanized soles to some of their most popular shoes. You can add New Balance to the list this Summer, as they’re giving us the V74.

Based around the standard 574 model, the V74 instead relies on a vulcanized sole and completely canvas upper. Other accents we’re used to seeing on the 574 have also been removed, including the 3M N logo along the sides. For the first go around, navy blue and black colorways are offered. Is this look on this New Balance fashion forward or falling flat?
