This morning the 2019 CFDA Awards announced its nominees. Those in contention, voted by the Fashion Guild — 1,500 CFDA members, fashion editors, retailers, and stylists — touch on all points of the industry, including sneaker designers.<\/p>\n
Virgil Abloh received two nominations for menswear designer of the year and accessory designer of the year for OFF WHITE. Heron Preston was honored for work on his namesake brand in the category of emerging designer of the year, an award that was won last year by Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pyer Moss.\u00a0Jean-Raymond, too, helps populate the menswear\u00a0designer of the year category.<\/p>\n
