New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio<\/strong> has partnered with Japanese label AURALEE<\/strong> for a striking take on the modern\u00a0contemporary R_C2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Blending luxury design language with utilitarian aesthetics, the partnership has — in short order — refined what it is that workwear and sneaker sophistication evokes.<\/p>\n

Masterfully joining ripstop nylon, varying leather overlays, and waterproof GORE-TEX, reflective detailing gives visibility to this workwear-inspired look that is actually anything but. There’s a conscious straddling of the line, juxtaposing airy outdoor qualities with premium sentimentality. Shades of beige provide a concise nuance to the silhouette’s earthy glow which is matched by leather tongue branding and tonal midsole construction.<\/p>\n
