Nike’s “Galaxy” theme has long been synonymous\u00a0with the NBA’s All-Star festivities. Dating back to 2012 when the Air Foamposite One famously debuted its glowing galactic theme, since that time galaxy-inspired sneakers have released with great frequency come February.<\/p>\n

This year looks to be no different as\u00a0Shoe Palace has confirmed the retro release of a Nike Zoom Rookie “Galaxy”<\/strong> edition. The Penny Hardaway classic resurfaced last year when a “Glow in the Dark” pair<\/a> released to wide acclaim. A “Galaxy” retro, however, is an even greater force.<\/p>\n

Carrying the same sartorial strategy as the aforementioned Foamposite One<\/a>, the solar system focused look is placed atop a glow-in-the-dark outsole for ripeness. You can expect\u00a0this release on February 22, just a few days following NBA All-Star Weekend. Yet don’t be surprised of the shoe is available during the events in Charlotte at select retailers.<\/p>\n

Update 2\/15:<\/strong> Another Look at the Nike Zoom Rookie “Galaxy”<\/strong> set to release on February 22 for $220 USD at premium retailers like Politics<\/a>.<\/p>\n
