While Nike celebrated many victories both public and private in 2018, among the most impactful was their re-signing of Colin Kaepernick and his subsequent presence as part of their 30th anniversary Just Do It campaign. Looking back to 2017, similar wins surrounded LeBron James and his lead in the punching Nike Equality series.<\/p>\n
Now, to the earliest moments of 2019 which lean sharply into Black History Month, Nike’s Equality series is again on the rise with the usual suspects and silhouettes in tow. Carmelo Anthony, an outspoken NBA star of 16 seasons, last year saw his brand logo perched atop a black and white Air Jordan 1 Equality. Next week, Anthony will again be a figure in this fight although instead with the Air Jordan 1 Mid as a canvas.<\/p>\n
