Eddie Jones, among the earliest Team Jordan athletes that would carry on Michael Jordan’s footwear legacy after his playing days were done, had one of the more interesting runs as a Jordan Brand endorser. After signing with Nike in 1997, Jones went on to wear signature Air Jordan models and two signature styles of his own.

The second of those two was the Jordan Jumpman Swift 6.

Truly a Jones signature in lieu of other Jumpman models for which PEs were created for him specifically, the Jumpman Swift 6 — originally released in 2000 — featured an overlaying zipped closure with “EJ” engraved at the top strap. Similarities to the Air Jordan 15 (released the same year) were very apparent with this boldly aggressive design, considering its shroud like component was much like the Swift 6’s upper.

For the shoe’s 2019 retro, Jones’ logo has been replaced with a Jumpman, and the shoe is now simply called the Jumpman Swift, removed from Eddie’s jersey number.

Largely recognized as one of the better Team Jordans, the Swift 6 reached its greatest height when Michael Jordan donned the shoe in his famed Flight School video. Teaching techniques and dropping gems as only he could, MJ laced up the very colorway that just retroed.
