Jordan or Kobe? Lebron or Iverson? Barkley or Ewing? Many of our favorite players are unbelievable on the hardwood; however, were their sneakers always superb? At NiceKicks, we have been debating the best sneaker lines that have ever been released.

We have had argument after argument and, to our surprise, we have finally agreed on a Top 10 List. Today, we are sharing our list with you! Which players have the best sneaker line of all time? You may be surprised to see who didn’t make the cut!

Click here to view Snkrs Day list of the top ten sneakers lines ever worn in the League.

#10 – Lebron James

Nike Zoom LeBron IV PE ???Fruity Pebbles??? – Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images

King James starts our countdown off. While many of his shoes are average at best, we have labeled many of them as ‘outlet dwellers’. However, his sneaker line is larger than most athletes in such a short period of time (and still growing). His Nike Zoom Lebron 3 and Nike Zoom 20-5-5 were well-received by consumers. Is Nike really getting its money’s worth from that $90 million contract?

#9 – Grant Hill

Fila Grant Hill – Photo by David Sherman/NBAE via Getty Images

When Grant Hill was destroying competition in Detroit, he had Fila at the forefront of basketball. He kept Fila afloat by himself…literally. Matter of fact, after he won 1995’s Rookie of the Year award, sales of his Original Fila Grant Hill skyrocketed to more than 1.5 million pairs. For this reason alone, Grant Hill’s sneaker line sneaks into our list. Dear Mr. Grant Hill, Thank you for helping us gain a basketball fan base for a few years… I started the letter for you Fila!

#8 – Patrick Ewing

Next Sport Ewings – Photo by Nathaniel S. Butler/NBAE via Getty Images

Patrick Ewing, the veteran on our list, had a few solid kicks we couldn’t help but notice. The Adidas Attiude helped reinvent the basketball sneaker as a whole. All of you New Yorkers went crazy over these! You can credit Ewing for breaking the Adidas Conductor into the basketball world as well. You have to give Ewing props for partnering with an unknown company, Next Sport, Inc., and producing some elite sneakers. Fellow New Yorker Stephon Marbury should take to notes.

#7 – Shawn Kemp

Reebok Kamikaze 2 – Photo By Nathaniel S. Butler/NBAE via Getty Images

Kamikaze 2…enough said. This shoe is arguably one of the best basketball shoes made. We know…Shawn Kemp didn’t have as many signature sneakers as baby mommas; however, this shoe is powerful enough to keep him in our top 10 by itself. Do you remember these?

#6 – Kobe Bryant

Adidas KB-8 – Photo by Andy Hayt/NBAE via Getty Images

Besides the Adidas KB1 and KB2 (the ‘space cadet’ shoes), Kobe has had a very solid sneaker line. The KB8 was a very popular, unique shoe and, easily, his most recognized sneaker. We want to credit him with the Nike Zoom Huarache 2K4 but that blonde in Colorado prevented this from happening. Sorry Kobe…as much as you wore it, that’s not your shoe!

#5 – Scottie Pippen

Nike Air Pippen – Photo by Andrew D. Bernstein/NBAE via Getty Images

Overshadowed by Jordan and his sneaker line, Scottie Pippen never received the respect he was deserved. His shoes were incredible! The Nike Air Pippen 1 and 2 were both classics. We would like to give ‘Pip’ credit for the infamous Nike Air More Uptempo, but it wasn’t exactly a part of his shoe line; however, he wore them consistently. The non-signature shoes he wore were some of the best (Nike Air More Uptempo, Nike Air Flight Lite High, etc).

#4 – Allen Iverson

Reebok Question – Photo by Google

A.I. has one of the most influential sneaker lines ever. His first sneaker, the Reebok Question, is the #1 selling shoe in Reebok history. This shoe, at one point in time, was in every young basketball players’ closet. Was it really the shoe, or was it the fact that he broke Michael Jordan’s ankles in those? Also, you can’t forget those crossover-teaching commercials in which he sported the Reebok Answer 1.

#3 – Charles Barkley

Nike Air Max2 CB 94 – Photo by Andy Hayt/NBAE via Getty Images

‘Sir’ Charles’s sneaker line was just as outspoken as he was. During the 90’s, Nike and Charles introduced some of the most unique yet dependable basketball sneakers ever invented. Barkley was the ‘Face of the Force’ appearing in all the Nike Force commercials. The Nike CB34 is a classic while 1993’s Nike Air Force Max CB is arguably a top ten shoe as well.

#2 – Anfernee ‘Penny’ Hardaway

Nike Air Penny 2 – Photo by Andy Lyons/Allsport via Getty Images

Though Penny Hardaway’s career stumbled before he reached his full potential, his sneaker line will never falter. Matter of fact. it is one of the best ever. The Air Penny 2 is arguably a top five shoe ever made while, the Nike Air Max Penny was seen on a lot of feet when it debuted (even Lil’ Penny).

#1 – Michael Jordan

Air Jordan 11 – Photo by Nathaniel S. Butler/NBAE via Getty Images

I dare one of you disagree with this selection! I’m 99.9999% sure everybody else on this list has at least two pair of Jordan’s in their closet. Better yet, I’m even more sure every one of YOU has a pair of Jordan’s in the closet! From the Jordan 11 (my personal favorite), to the Jordan 14, to the _______ (you fill in the blank), JB has revolutionized the sneaker world. Any disagreements?

Honorable Mention:

Larry Johnson-One superb sneaker does not solidify a spot ( unless it is a Kamikaze!)

Kevin Garnett-We love KG’s Nike sneakers, and it was very hard to keep him out.

Jason Kidd-Solid Kicks. However, you leave Nike for Peak?

Dwayne Wade-We love the Fav 5 commercials, but the Top 10 is not for you.

Tracy McGrady-One has to make it out of the first round to be considered.

Gary Payton-His 1st two sneakers were crazy! After that, the trash-talking seemed to take over his sneakers.

Shaquille O’neal-We loved the Reebok kicks, but his Payless Shoes keep him out of this list.

Rasheed Wallace – He has worn Air Force Ones from day 1 in the league and is the only man other than MJ to have a silhouette of himself on his shoes.?? We passed on Sheed for this round, but I think that he is due for an award in the near future.?? Much thanks for the heads up Clark!
