Once a year for a day a certain herb receives celebration like no other. ?For years sneaker companies have taken notice of the importance of keeping your stash safe. ?Click through a series of sneakers that provide safety for your money, car keys, jewelry, bus tokens, or “stash”.<\/p>\n

KangaROOS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Perhaps running enthusiast and founder Bob Gamm intended for the ROOS’ side pouch to provide a convenient space to store your keys or coinage while going for a run, but let’s face it, a few pairs have been used to store the other dime from time to time.<\/p>\n

Virtually everyone knows about the special pocket on the side so don’t expect to get past many pat downs wearing these.<\/p>\n

Chad Muska made noise early in the skate scene and in 1999 joined forces with CIRCA to produce a series of signature shoes. A staple feature in this series was making use of the super fat tongues for an oversized stash pocket with a hidden zipper.<\/p>\n

Like a CD player in the dash, the stash pocket comes standard on most IPATH models company wide including the IPATH Reed. The hemp upper on these coupled with rasta colors might make you a little more suspect than the average Joe. Wear with caution.<\/p>\n

While it can be debated how much of a secret it is to sport a cargo pocket on the side of your sneaker, it still can be used to transport the goods. Save these just for wearing while in Amsterdam and not on the way home.<\/p>\n

Chad Muska and CIRCA parted ways in 2005, but it didn’t take long for the free agent legendary rider to be snapped up by Supra. His first signature model, the Supra Skytop features a handy stash pocket on the bottom side of the tongue not easily visible.<\/p>\n

Omar Salazar became the third Nike SB pro rider to be blessed with a signature shoe. His first, the Nike SB Zoom Omar Salazar Pro Model utilizes the tongue to be a large pouch to stuff. While tongues on the Dunk SBs have been getting slimmer, Nike SB is giving you to option to add as much “stuffing” as you want to the Zoom Salazars.<\/p>\n

Nike SB’s first stash pocket slid a little under the radar with the Zoom Salazar, but the Skunk Dunks made serious noise across the web. Given the amount of attention these have received as well as the very striking resemblance to the “herb in question” it may not be to wise to stash anything in these while you cross Customs.<\/p>\n
