Removed from MJ’s signature number 23 at the heel — in lieu of the nuanced number 45 which references his Birmingham Barons and post first retirement jersey number — many expected the release this weekend to quickly become Nike’s best-selling sneaker of all time, eclipsing 2016’s Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” which held top billing<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Good things, of course, tend to come in threes, lending credence to original reports that indicated the Air Jordan 11 “Bred<\/strong>” or “Playoff” will return for another retro run during 2019’s holiday season.<\/p>\n

First released in 1996, re-released in 2001, again in 2008 for the “Countdown Pack” and finally in 2012, historically, the “Bred” 11s carry deep-seeded sentiment as Jordan and the Bulls powered past the Seattle Supersonics for another NBA championship while he donned this patent leather masterpiece.<\/p>\n
