2018 has been a big year for Jerry Lorenzo and his streetwear label Fear Of God.

Taking the line’s success to new heights, Nike and Fear of God‘s first collaborative project proves one of the biggest stories in the fashion industry. The collaborative collection is highlighted by a court-ready sneaker, the Nike Air Fear of God 1, which has already been worn in recent weeks in the NBA. Now, we finally have official information on this highly anticipated shoe and groundbreaking collection.

The new Nike Air Fear of God 1 features visible double-height Zoom Air heel unit which inherits the design from the iconic Nike Air Max 180. What’s even better? It’s also backed by internal full-length Zoom.

“The sensation is incredible. It’s super bouncy, from the metatarsal heads back, it is our performance basketball last,” says Chang who worked on the Nike Air Fear of God 1 as a designer and also serves as the Senior Footwear Design Director at Nike Basketball. Continuing to pull from retro running, the TPU cage draws inspiration from the Nike Huarache Light which gives the shoe more stability.
