Two decades removed from initially uniting with NBA Hall of Famer Grant Hill<\/strong>, FILA has announced it’s signed the former hoops great to a lifetime contract.<\/p>\n

“FILA is proud to have been a part of Grant\u2019s history, partnering with him when he was drafted into the league,” stated Jon Epstein, President at FILA North America. “Grant was a tough yet graceful competitor. He possesses a strong work ethic and has demonstrated resilience and perseverance. Grant truly embodies the spirit of FILA, a brand that is synonymous with game-changers in sport and beyond. We look forward to Grant being an integral part of our move forward strategy in basketball.”<\/p>\n

Outside of being named one of the greatest collegiate players of all-time, Hill also went on to become one of the most accomplished\u00a0NBA players of his time. His signature line with FILA<\/strong> was anchored by the timeless\u00a0FILA 96, a smooth midtop that helped introduce patent leather on basketball sneakers.<\/p>\n

The shoe went on to become a cultural icon worn by the likes of Tupac Shakur\u00a0and several others.\u00a0Grant’s line (and particularly the ’96) helped transcend the sneaker space. The infancy of Hill’s NBA career is stamped by his partnership with the brand.<\/p>\n

“FILA was there for my first professional steps on the court,” Hill commented. “We have now come full circle and I am thrilled to be a part of the family once again. I\u2019m grateful for the brand\u2019s continued loyalty and support as we begin this new chapter together.”<\/p>\n

To reintroduce Hill in light of his budding lifetime deal, Grant will participate in FILA\u2019s ComplexCon activation in November, where a celebration will surround Hill including an exclusive line of products.<\/p>\n
