There’s very little doubt that in this often cluttered, hype-favored sneaker space, Converse<\/strong> has risen above the muck and won out with the growing success of its Chuck 70. Originally released back in 2013 and now at the height of its powers<\/a> five years later, its mounting success is registered through sales, visibility and, of course, collaboration.<\/p>\n

Shawn Yue’s MADNESS<\/strong> has approached its Chuck 70 High release by both traditional and unorthodox methodology. They’ve colored the shoe in a vibrant royal blue hue that entices the eye. Then to even greater effect, a hairy suede boldly marks the lateral paneling whereas a foundational canvas construction holds court at the medial siding. This juxtaposition isn’t completely new to the Chuck 70 but the contrast in these materials orbits revelatory — as did their Chuck 70 Low collaboration back in January.<\/p>\n
