If there was ever an underdog shoe worth rooting for, it’s with little doubt the PUMA Thunder<\/strong>. Releasing on the tail-end of the chunky dad shoe wave, it could have been perceived that PUMA was attempting to get in on a trend before it passed. Yet in reality, the German-based sportswear brand was asserting a new aesthetic that would appear through a series of sneakers prime to anchor its lifestyle market while its budding basketball division held down another sector.<\/p>\n

After its debut colorway quickly sparked a fanbase, subsequent releases and partnering styles have helped catapult the Thunder. Leaping further today PUMA and UK retailer END announce a collaboration pair dubbed the “Shadow Rise.”<\/p>\n

Aided by a fashion duality that pairs black and brown, suede and leather, and other contrasting ideologies that function together outside of traditional notions, minimalism helps bind said juxtaposition. As does its earthy bottom floor which is punctuated with a cork insole and gum outer.<\/p>\n
