And since this is the second year of what event organizers are calling a &#8220;weeklong celebration of sneaker culture in the nation,&#8221; Sneaker Week 2018 will be even more expansive than before.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSneaker Week serves as a venue where members of the sneaker community can curate cultural experiences within art, music, sports, and design, representing their interpretation of the boundless influence of the sneaker,\u201d said Sneaker Week co-founder Herbert Beauclere in a press release. \u201cThis year we are expanding our experiences to include access to places that can only be found in Portland, like sessions at the Adidas MakerLab or \u201cHikeBeastin\u201d in one of the largest urban parks.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"This Is SneakerWeek!\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CJIpOpotSKY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Like Beauclere notes, Sneaker Week this year will incorporate more of the city of Portland into their events and experiences while carrying on the event&#8217;s overarching mission to foster community and promote culture. An example of this is the Deadstock Photo Walk, which is an essentially a walking tour of all of the must-see sneaker sports in Portland.
