As women’s exclusives continue to grow more commonplace in sneaker culture, those releases equally emerge more nuanced. They’re not just pink or purple or something else centered around antiquated gender aesthetics. Women, now, see exclusives similar to that of their male counterparts. Both vast in theme and neutral in color and vignette.

Vans proves this notion true with the release of its “Calf Hair” collection. Featuring a trio of heritage-based skate silhouettes — SK8-Hi, Classic Slip-On and the Era — premium materials engulf each style through a juxtaposition of leather and calf hair. Varying patterns are present, too, as Vans’ famed checkerboard print is seen on the Slip-On while the two opposing styles play with textured animal prints.
