Nike’s very-first performance retro, the Zoom Kobe 1 Protro<\/a>, is the start of what could be an entirely new market for the dominant sportswear brand. Starting with Kobe Bryant’s debut signature silhouette, it’s likely a jumping off point for many others — namely LeBron James whose Air Zoom Generation<\/a> retro first released last year. Bryant, though, is currently at the plate and the “MPLS” edition of his Protro officially drops this Friday, July 6.<\/p>\n

Confirmed today by retailer Kicks Store, the shoe will be available this weekend for $175 USD. The Poland-based shop is hosting a raffle for the sneaker; many other retailers will almost certainly follow suit. Those hoping to score a pair from KS would only need to sign up and register here for a chance to purchase. Fans who win the raffle drawing on July 10 will be able to purchase the shoe on July 11.<\/p>\n
