<\/p>\n Upon our introduction of the Air Jordan II “Crocodile,”<\/strong> most of you were none too flattered and that’s putting it euphemistically. We now have some clearer images and a bit more information that may, perhaps, sway your sentiments.<\/p>\n The focal point of the shoe, the red wax seal, was enigmatic upon first sight. We now, however, have a fitting hypothesis concerning its purpose. It is common practice in the cigar industry to wax seal and number cigar batches or bins-to use the industry lexicon. We all know MJ is fond of stogie chewing. And the “Bin 23” imprinted seal embraces this cigar labeling practice with a nod to Jordan’s number. Not to mention, the mostly brown shoe is of a cigar hue.<\/p>\n We can’t be assured of this hypothesis’ validity until it’s confirmed by Jordan brand. But, if it is indeed their intention, it fulfills one of the brand’s core values-to create footwear that exudes the persona of Michael Jordan.
