While February 14th may be Valentine’s day to almost all Americans, it’s also the run of the Chinese calendar year. And in 2010, that day represents the first day of the Golden Tiger Year. To pay tribute, Converse has unleashed a collection of various Chuck Taylors.

The entire pack displays various images of tigers, claws and Chinese literature, while including a variety of cuts and materials. 2 highs in black are available in black–one in canvas and the other in leather. Two pairs of red highs have also been done and a lone pair of white shoes rounds out the highs. A black, orange and brown pair are each done in leather, with subtle graphics on the heel and uppers. According to Converse, the Jack Purcell, One Star and Weapon 86 will also be designed to pay tribute to the year, so stay tuned to check out the remainder of the collection when it surfaces.
