This past week, we saw plenty of soon-to-be-released kicks from many different brands. For example, we gathered photos and news about the upcoming Air Jordan IX-Citrus, we showcased our latest Sneaker Geeks: Flim vs Footwear and took a glance at a Matt Halfhill’s Top 10 Sneakers of 2009.

With that said, the Snkrs Day staff had plenty of choices to choose from. Click here to read the analysis of our staff picks for this week. What was your favorite sneaker of the week?

Fragment Design x Converse Chuck Taylor – George Kiel
The Chuck Taylor has seen almost every type of design throughout 2009. Yet, I think this particular Chuck Taylor is easily one of my favorites because of its simplicity. Fragment Design’s collaborations have always had a type of simple yet stylish look to them and this is no different.

Patta x Nike Air Max 1– Peter Sim

The Amsterdam crew straight smashed every collaboration this year (Pro-Keds, Converse, Reebok), but the coup de grace was definitely the 5th Anniversary Nike Air Max 1 series. The final jump-off is basically a black version of the sample that we saw awhile back, and I have to say, the gum sole and the ballistic upper are too cold. This is easily the freshest AM release this year along with the other Pattas, Dizzee Rascal AM90, and the AM 2009.

Air Jordan 11 “Space Jams” – Greg Grovey

Unfortunately, not everyone can have the “Space Jam Jordans way before Christmas” like Bun B. So if you are like me and are waiting on the release date, there is no way I could have picked another shoe this week. T-minus 3 days until blast off!

Nike KD2 “Creamsicle” – Alex Kroviak

It takes a ballsy player to debut his second signature sneaker in a bright orange colorway. Kevin Durant’s that player. Call it bias because he’s a UT alum, and because it was Dirk and my Mavericks that ruined the debut, allowing KD his worst game of the season, but I’ll take it. The KD1s were great at $90, and I can’t wait for a KD2 “Texas” color-up. Never graduate kids. Never graduate.

This past week, we saw plenty of soon-to-be-released kicks from many different brands.
