Don C, after releasing three variations of the Air Jordan 2 and a striking contribution to Nike’s AF100 installment, has moved on to thoughtfully imagining hybrids. His upcoming Jordan Legacy 312 is somewhat of a masterful Frankenstein — a melding pot of classic sneakers that pull from the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 3, and the nostalgic Alpha Force, respectively.

Don revealed a final sample of the shoe today on Instagram and immediately the most noteworthy feature is the absence of Nike Air at the tongue. Fittingly, Just Don branding emboldens the Air Jordan 1 inspired tongue construction while a Nike scripted forefoot strap odes to the aforementioned Alpha Force (worn on court briefly by Mike). The shoe’s midsole is clearly tooled to represent the Air Jordan 3, as elephant print covers the mudguard and rear Visible Air also represents the coveted 88 classic.

Don would only allude to his excitement surrounding the shoe’s summer release. A more specific timeframe has not been revealed. Stay tuned.
