Nike announced a Trainer 1 to pay tribute to the Bronx Bombers just in time for their 27th World Series victory, and now they’ve decided to show some love for the other coast with this “L.A” colorway.

Manny can be Manny all he wants in these suede and leather Trainers, which use the Dodgers’ blue and white throughout. White leather is used on the toe cap and heel, accented with royal blue contrast stitching. Blue suede really makes these what they are, as it’s used on the Flywire-like mid-panel and toe box. Slight red accents are also used on the lace loops, similar to the red numbers on Los Angeles’ jersey. The real tribute comes in the insole design, which feature a two-tone checkerboard pattern and, similar to the New York Trainer 1, the retired jersey numbers of Brooklyn and L.A. Dodgers legends. Expect these in stores sometime in the next week.

|
