One of adidas’ biggest success stories this year doesn’t involve Kanye West or Pharrell Williams. The Iniki Runner has been a stabilizer for the brand, much like the NMD and ZX Flux have been in years past. The Iniki, though, is now shifting in both style and name – transforming into the adidas I-5923.

Named after one of the articles in the adidas archive and similarly based on vintage adidas running models, much like the Iniki, the shoe joins ’70s aesthetics with modern-day design cues and contemporary material enhancements. By in large, knitted mesh fabrication adorns the look alongside premium suede overlays on the toebox, lace collar and heel.

Carrying the brand’s running legacy into modern-day, the adidas I-5923 will debut in limited edition Crystal White and Core Red colorways on December 1. Take a first look below.

Release Date: December 1, 2017

adidas I-5923
