If so, then you could be the proud owner of a pair of <strong>Air Jordan 1s<\/strong> that Michael Jordan wore during the playoffs against the Boston Celtics in 1986.<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t have $20,000 to spend on shoes, don&#8217;t worry. The story behind the kicks is still well worth your time as these Air Jordans were customized to help provide extra support to Jordan, who was returning to action for the first time after breaking his foot.<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"https:\/\/sports.ha.com\/itm\/basketball-collectibles\/others\/1985-86-michael-jordan-game-worn-and-signed-air-jordan-i-sneakers-with-post-injury-modification\/a\/7220-50014.s?ic3=ViewItem-Auction-Open-ThisAuction-120115\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Heritage Auctions<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Each exterior ankle features a heavy nylon and aluminum buckle customization that was crafted to provide an extra degree of support to Jordan&#8217;s delicate left foot (and to provide weighted balance on the right). The bulk of the support appears at interior, where a leather and velcro strap would lock tight to each ankle. It&#8217;s unclear exactly how many games Jordan sported this customized style&#8211;he&#8217;d already abandoned it by the time he famously put up sixty-three points against the Celtics in Game Two of the Eastern Conference first round playoffs.
