#13 – Nike ?Glow In The Dark? Illumination Package

First off, this lineup is not ranked whatsoever. If that was the case this Nike Illumination Pack would be further up the list. When Nike unleashed this pack in 2007, many sneaker enthusiasts were delighted to see this release. The entire pack included a Dunk High, Blazer, Vandal Low and a Nike Air Max 90.

#12 – Mita x Frat x New Balance MT576S

In the midst of the Nike Air Yeezy hoopla, New Balance hooked up with Mita and creative collective Frat for this joint effort. This collaboration is special because it also contained additional features such as an imprinted Shi-mei-nawa rope design and a bamboo rake motif on the tongue (it represents good fortune).

#11 – Atmos x Reebok Ex-O-Fit

This is one of the most recent glow-in-the-dark designs on our list. Reebok hooked up with Atmos and produced the oft-used Ex-O-Fit in two glow-in-the-dark colorways. Obviously, its distinctive features is the 100% glow-in-the-dark sole and the speckled pattern.

#10 – DC Shoes x UNKL Double Label Project

This Graph sneaker is one of the more unique, glow-in-the-dark sneakers on the list. DC hooked up with SUG and created this extremely limited edition sneaker. They also added a glow-in-the-dark SUG figure in the package.

#9 – MADFOOT x Optimystik

For their second collaboration, Madfoot and Optimystik hooked up and created an all-white patent leather sneaker with glow-in-the-dark attributes. It’s aforementioned designs reflect tropical elements including plant and animal life.

#8 – Converse All Star Owari-Shippo Hi

Many might say that this Converse All Star Owari-Shippo looks a lot better in the dark than in light. When lit up, the predominance of the upper glows in the dark; however, when regularly seen in the light, it contains a unique (positive or negative connotation) color scheme made up of blue, yellow and pink.

#7 – adidas Superstars

We must applaud adidas for creating this glow-in-the-dark Superstar in a different light (no pun intended) than any other sneaker. As opposed to the regular, glow-in-the dark attributes that light the entire upper in a solid color scheme, this particular shoe features an all-over text print on the base.

#6 – Nike Hypermax “McFly”

Many of you impatiently anticipated the arrival of the Nike Hypermax “McFly” only to find out that Nike ended up scratching it. Although it never saw the light of the day, it still will go down as one of the better glow-in-the-dark sneakers ever.

#5 – Chapter World x Reebok Pump Omni Lite

Reebok and Chapter World killed two birds with one stone when designing these. This Pump Omni Lite was first and foremost designed to honor Easter Day seeing that it contains a colors ranging from pink, yellow, and soft blue on the base. However, in the dark it glows on the predominance of the midfoot area and on the honeycomb-like design around the toe area.

#4 – Nike Trainer 1 “Lights Out”

The Nike Trainer 1 ?Lights Out? pays tribute to Manny Pacquiao?s knockout of Ricky Hatton on May 2nd, 2009; the tongue contains his recognizable logo. However, this is just one of the many inspirations this shoe possesses. This extremely limited release features the numbers 5, 2, and 9 in very special fashion. Pacquiao became the first fighter to knockout Britain?s Ricky Hatton on May 2nd, 2009, (5/2/09) in two minutes and fifty-nine seconds (2:59).

#3 – Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Low

This time, Converse applied the glow-in-the-dark attribute to the Chuck Taylor Low. However, in an attempt to distinguish this sneaker from any other glow-in-the-dark shoe, Converse also created this shoe with a 100% clear base.

#2 – Nike Air Yeezy

The Nike Air Yeezy is easily the most highly-anticipated sneaker of 2009 so far. It’s highy-detailed makeup is second to none. Therefore, the glow-in-the-dark sole is just a minuscule reason why this shoe was so coveted when it released.

#1 – Nike Hyperdunk? “McFly”

Similar to the previously mentioned Nike Air Yeezy, the glow-in-the-dark attribute is just a very small reason as to why this sneaker was so sought after when it released. However, pertaining to the movie it was inspired by, the glow-in-the dark qualities gave this sneaker an almost-perfect look.
