Over the years, much has been made of Michael Jordan<\/strong> being cut from his varsity basketball team in the late ’70s. Jordan, of course, persevered, and became what many believe to be the best player to ever pick up a basketball. Now any player that attends his alma mater, Laney High School<\/strong> in North Carolina, is no doubt reminded of his harrowing tale and that sheer will and dedication often trumps talent.<\/p>\n Jordan Brand<\/strong> continues to punctuate those heroics at Laney today with an all-new Jumpman friendly court and glowing shoe display. They’ve also aided the school in adding a media center, updated the class and locker rooms, and simply continuing to be a presence in the school’s ongoing success.<\/p>\n
