Five years ago, Jeff Green<\/strong>‘s NBA career was put on hold after doctors found an\u00a0aortic aneurysm in his heart. To correct the issue, Green needed surgery that forced him to miss the entire lockout-shortened 2011-2012 season. Thankfully, the surgery was a success and Green is healthy and just signed a new contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers.<\/p>\n

Since he is at the five year anniversary of his surgery, Green wrote about it over at The Players’ Tribune<\/a>\u00a0and he also shared a story about his Air Jordan XXXI<\/strong> PE<\/strong> in an accompanying video. Green says in the video that Jordan Brand designed the colorway of the shoe with him in mind as it commemorates his heart surgery.<\/p>\n
