Allen Iverson, unbelievably, turned 42 today. So if you remember watching him in Big East tournaments with Georgetown, or during his Rookie of the Year campaign with the 76ers, well, you may not be far behind him in age. But Iverson and his cultural influence remain timeless, similar to his signature footwear collection with Reebok.

In honor of his epic NBA Finals moment back in 2001, now 16 years ago, Reebok is re-releasing the Answer IV in Black/White now dubbed the “Stepover.” Iverson, or course, wore the shoe in that legendary Game 1 performance where he stepped over Tyronn Lue after a stepback baseline jumper.

The limited edition release will land at Philly’s Lapstone & Hammer on June 9 both in-store and online. The shop will also host an exclusive party where Iverson will be in attendance, along with music by DJ Clark Kent and artwork by Najeeb Sheikh. Fans can gain entry to the event by being among the first 100 customers to purchase the Reebok Answer IV “Stepover” in-store at Lapstone & Hammer’s 1106 Chestnut St. location in Philly. The June 9 online release is scheduled for 11am EST.

Reebok Answer IV “Stepover”
Reebok Answer IV “Stepover”
