Today it was announced that the 2019 NBA All-Star Game will take place in Charlotte, after Adam Silver made a conscious call to move the 2017 All-Star Game in favor of equal rights this past February.

With the game set to take place in the home of the Hornets, on owner Michael Jordan’s 56th birthday no less, this could prove extra cool for fans of team gear. Nike will be outfitting the NBA, and the Charlotte team has already announced that their squad will be wearing Jordan Brand jerseys as a nod to their owner.

So, does this mean JB will do the ASG uniforms for 2019? Nothing is official yet, but we sure hope so. Given all Don C has done with the Jumpman and Mitchell & Ness to date, it’d definitely be dope if he was tapped for design duties — but that’s just wishful thinking on our end.

Congrats to Charlotte on getting to host the celebration of hoops and we can’t wait to see the gear.
