Although originally set to open earlier this month, Nike SOHO<\/strong> will officially open its doors this weekend on November 18 the brand said in a statement today.<\/p>\n

“We look forward to bringing New Yorker’s the best of Nike at our new Soho store,” a Nike spokesperson remarked. “We are pleased to announce the store will officially open to the general public at 12 p.m. this Friday, November 18.”<\/p>\n

The store suffered a set back due to zoning issues, as the massive space exceeds the\u00a0area’s 10,000 square-foot zoning limit for retailers. Many of the community members located in the general area were asking that the building’s developer get a special permit for the 55,000-square-foot, five-story store.<\/p>\n

All the special products and exclusives mentioned here<\/a> are still scheduled to drop this Friday. Nike SOHO is\u00a0located at 529 Broadway in the heart of New York City’s shopping district.<\/p>\n
