A key component in Nike’s 12 Soles holiday collection<\/a>, the Christmas iteration of Kevin Durant’s ninth signature shoe has an interesting moniker to match its equally alluring burgundy palette.<\/p>\n

The Nike KD 9 “The Sauce”<\/strong> elects for a Deep Burgundy and Metallic Red Bronze Flyknit upper with Durant’s No. 35 at the tongue. Full-length Zoom Air rests below while KD’s logo hits the heel in white.<\/p>\n

Nike Basketball is yet to detail the origins of this unique nickname, but surely more will be revealed in the weeks to come. For now, give the Nike KD 9<\/a> “The Sauce” a look below and calendar the December 15 release date.<\/p>\n
