Neymar Jr. grew up a fan of Michael Jordan, like many of us did. Now, an international star in his own right, Jordan is, in turn, a fan of his. They continue their partnership through Jordan Brand with new footwear releases adjoined by a budding apparel offering.

The Neymar x Jordan Brand Hypervenom draws inspiration from Neymar’s favorite Air Jordan, the fifth model originally released back in 1990. The Jordan 5’s reflective tongue is reinterpreted on the tongue-less Hypervenom in the form of a bold reflective Swoosh. And, as with the release of the Air Jordan 5 Low earlier this year, Jordan’s number 23 appears on the boots that differ in the placement of Neymar’s numbers. Here, Neymar’s Brazil number 10 appears on the lateral side of the left black boot and his Barcelona number 11 appears on the left white boot, respectively. Both models ultimately convey looks similar to famed Air Jordan colorways – the “Fire Red” 5’s and various “Black Cement” executions.

Take a closer look at this upcoming release from Neymar x Jordan Brand below ahead of the drop which is said to be soon at Nike.com.
