Upscale Vandal: “It took me hell in a hand basket to get them so I’ve been wearing the f*ck out of those. I saw that shoe during the last Fashion Week and it was just Visvim’s take on a running shoe and obviously they make things of the highest quality. They weren’t in the States yet, so I called my boy in Japan and he got me the only size 12 at the store. So, at the time of getting them I’m probably one of maybe three people in the US with a size 12. These have a Vibram running sole like I’ve never seen and the insole is molded leather like an orthopedic sole. It’s crazy. It’s super comfortable and it’s made better than I’ve ever seen.”

“I’ve been wearing running silhouettes because that’s where boutiques are getting the most collabs and I think boutiques are running the sneaker game right now by putting some very dope makeups on traditional silos like the CNCPTS x New Balance 999 and so on. I feel like those designer aesthetics the boutiques have been adding on look fresh with Dior jeans and Visvim jackets — it’s toned down but it’s still super luxe.”

Vans Old Skool Custom by Enfats Riches Deprimes

Upscale Vandal: “Enfats Riches Deprimes is a brand out of LA that’s in the luxury market and I was one of the first people on the brand. I developed a relationship with the designer Henry and I reached out for him to do some special projects with some of the artists I work with. He had actually made a limited run of custom Vans and he released them to his accounts that sold the brand and they blew out. I had never been into Vans too crazy but I reached out to him when I was doing this thing for GQ and he made me a custom pair. He ended up making Pusha a pair, too. They’re super fresh, handmade and I’m the only one with these so I’ve been giving them a lot of burn.”

Oyster Holdings x adidas Samoa

Upscale Vandal: “One of my favorite brands is Oyster Holdings. It’s a very low key brand made by Woodie White from the Just Don family. He told me about these Samoas that adidas let him reconstruct. His brand is all about luxury travel wear and he took the Samoa and gave it a luxury aesthetic with pigskin soles to match the body of the shoe so it’s one pantone and one material. He gave me a pair early and I’m just blessed to have them.”

Air Jordan 1 KO “Shadow”

Upscale Vandal: “If anyone who follows me knows one thing about me it’s that I’m OCD with shoes that I love and really wear a lot. If it’s a shoe that I really love I’ll buy four to six pairs of out of the gate. For leather “Bred,” “Royal” and “Shadow” 1s I have over seven pairs deadstock of each. I don’t want to run through them so when the KOs came out it was like, it’s canvas, I can beat them up and they’re only like $100, so I bought like eight pairs and have been wearing those instead of the leather 1s.”

adidas Ultra Boost “Friends & Family” Cream

Upscale Vandal: “I think that the Ultra Boost is responsible for the new face and resurgence of adidas. Obviously the Yeezy and all the other shoes too, but I don’t think that there’s a more commonplace shoe at adidas than the Ultra Boost. I think it took the Flyknit out of competition. The Flyknit kind of became the fashion editor’s top pick because you could dress it up, dress it down, it was luxe and came in all these great colors. Then the Ultra Boost came in with a sleeker design and just took it out of the box. Obviously celebrities wearing them helped, but I think it’s a very easily palatable shoe for people that are trying to dress up runners. The Ultra Boost is just so comfortable. I got blessed with those a while back and I posted them with these Off-White jeans and right now it’s one of the most liked photos on my Instagram.”

“The fact that there’s no collar on the Ultra Boost allows you to wear them with a pant, a sweatpant or a jean. I think that’s one of the key pieces to the versatility of running shoes is that the sock-like fit allows your to cover the top or show the athletic look of them.”
