Just this month we saw the triumphant return of the Nike Air More Uptempo in the colorway that Scottie Pippen made famous during the 1995-96 NBA Championship season. While not a signature shoe for Pippen technically, his name and the silhouette have been synonymous for the 20 year history of the shoe.

While Scottie wore the famous black/white colorway during the NBA season, in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, he wore a special Olympic colorway that we have not seen hit the streets since four years ago in 2012. According to sneakers.fr, the “Olympic” Nike Air More Uptempo is set to come back in July of 2016 along with other greats associated with USA Basketball including the Nike Air Force 180 worn by Barkley in ’92 and Zoom Flight 96 rocked by Penny Hardaway on the ’96 squad.

Stay tuned to Snkrs Day for updates on this and all your other sneaker needs.

Release Date: July, 2016

Nike Air More Uptempo “Olympic”
