As we inch closer to the Kobe’s final game and the release of the highly anticipated “Mamba Day” Kobe 11 Elite iD, we take a look back at the special NIKEiD Kobe creations that were designed for the Black Mamba and others.<\/p>\n

Significance<\/strong>: Nike held a Kobe V iD contest during the spring of 2014, and a number of Kobe fans responded by submitting designs This “Kid Hollywood” creation, designed by Jason Hamilton, was handpicked by Kobe and worn by the Black Mamba, Derek Fisher, Lamar Odom and other Lakers.<\/p>\n Made Available<\/strong>: March 2010<\/p>\n Colorway<\/strong>: White\/Court Purple\/Yellow-Metallic Silver<\/p>\n Worn By<\/strong>: Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher and Lamar Odom<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Significance<\/strong>: One of the first Nike athletes to use the Nike iD Player Edition program, J.R. Smith was presented a customized Nike Kobe 8 System in Knicks colors.<\/p>\n Made Available<\/strong>: November 2013<\/p>\n Colorway<\/strong>: Royal Blue\/White-Total Orange<\/p>\n Worn By<\/strong>: J.R. Smith<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Significance<\/strong>: Nike Basketball created a Kobe 8 iD with the Shedding Skin option for Nick Young in a game he scored a season high of 28 points during the 2013-2014 NBA season.<\/p>\n Made Available<\/strong>: January 2014<\/p>\n Colorway<\/strong>: Tour Yellow\/Del Sol\/Court Purple-White<\/p>\n Worn By<\/strong>: Nick Young<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Significance<\/strong>: Much like the aforementioned “Kid Hollywood” Kobe V, NIKEiD generated a Twitter-driven #COUNTONKOBEiD contest in which Kobe hand-picked a winning design based on the \u2018Home\u2019 colorways of the Lakers uniforms. The colorway was inspired by the “Grinch” Kobe VI that was worn by him and the majority of the Lakers squad five years ago.<\/p>\n Made Available<\/strong>: December 2015<\/p>\n Colorway<\/strong>: Volt\/White-Red<\/p>\n Worn By<\/strong>: Kobe Bryant, Jordan Clarkson<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Significance<\/strong>: A special Nike Kobe 11 Elite iD was created for DeMar DeRozan’s second career All-Star appearance using the “Color Shift: Day” option, which features the Flyknit material fading from dark to lighter colors starting at the toe.<\/p>\n Made Available<\/strong>: February 2016<\/p>\n Colorway<\/strong>: Multi-Color<\/p>\n Worn By<\/strong>: DeMar DeRozan<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Significance<\/strong>: NIKEiD will commemorate Kobe’s final game with this “Mamba Day” graphic option for the Kobe 11.
