Spring is here — or is it still winter or already summer? Global warming or whatever is going on (or has been going on) may have us all confused, but according to the calendar we’re in the season originally stated. With that comes April showers and May flowers, and for all of us hopefully new kicks.

All-white sneakers have long been the move for the spring season. Even in the height of their yearlong popularity, a fresh pair of Forces on the East Coast or clean pair of Chucks on the West were always a good buy once winter finally said, “Good bye.” Though regional trends are more historic than categoric as everyone vibes with all styles these days, we’ve pinpointed a few models in all-white that you can wear during these spring days.

Sock Dart SZN has been going on pretty much since the random retro release with NikeLab tagging and limited access made them hot. A good shoe back in ’04 (if you actually remember them, I honestly don’t) has proved a better shoe a decade later much like the Foamposite. Though these don’t pack $200+ price tags (that’s a good thing) they’re still a cool wear and they still look modern despite their yesteryear origin. Aside from stepping in a puddle of mud, you can’t go wrong with these in all-white.

Incredibly popular among people that skateboard and people who have never skated in their lives, the Vans Old Skool is the ‘it’ shoe when it comes to being actually accessible and gender doesn’t matter when it comes to wearability. Made cool by Kylie and Kanye, our On-Foot Look stylist Zaul Zamora has been on the all-white Old Skool tip for about two years now. These are good with just about any set of bottoms and worthwhile at the sub-$70 price-point.

Didn’t expect a golf shoe on a Buyer’s Guide or Best of list? That’s fair. Country club membership or not, the Nike Lunar Force 1 G adds an extra dose of the prep appeal that’s oft been associated with all-white sneakers by having playability on and off the range. Yes, you can golf in them, but no, that’s not all. Lunar cushioning is still a favorite in all arenas and the spikeless styling make these an easy wear on fairways and hallways alike.

Hate it or love it, the underdogs on top — at least in the cool category. Nike is still knocking down numbers in the fiscal department, but adidas is seeing buzz in bunches that only the Swoosh and the Jumpman have felt in recent years. Yeezys aside, the Ultra Boost is still that shoe for the Three Stripes. Yes, we’ve seen all-white pairs revamped and restocked at end, but at the end of the day these still feel good on your feet no matter how many pairs are out there.

Real talk (do people still say that?) no brand has remained more loyal to the idea of all-white shoes being cool than Reebok (Okay, we see you too KSWISS). In some bizzaro world way, the vintage stylings look more modern than the all-white makeups served to count steps while walking laps at the mall pre-rush hour, but not everyone needs to know how to dab and that’s okay. All jokes aside though, in a world where everyone’s trying to stand out, the quiet cool of a steezless staple comes off a lot more confident than the trend of the moment. Reebok has it with a few of these.

Who’s down with NMD? It seems like every last homie if you pull up your timeline on Twitter or IG. Whether or not these are popping on Snapchat is unknown, but somehow this shoe has become the surprise hit of 2016. Maybe it’s not so surprising though. Full-length Boost cushioning, Originals origin and Nic Galway design direction all at $120? These are a deal that won’t make your feet or wallet hurt and they should become only easier to get.

Injecting opinion, these might be the best all-white shoes out right now even though they do sport color contrast. A truly nostalgic shoe if you were born before 1990, the Presto has been on a retro run for a while but hasn’t totally taken off to “too cool” heights. Yup, you can get these anywhere and the best part is they’re mostly mesh so it’s an easy wash and another reason to go sockless.

If you’re anti-shorts by either principle or precipitation, the NikeLab Air Flight 89 is a nice all-white alternate to styles made to reveal your ankles. The Ron Harper retro has been revamped from bulky basketball shoe to somewhat of a #streetstyle silo. Whatever. These are cool, have been cool and prove still good in cleaned up fashion.
