Collaborator: Patta \nRelease Date: 6.15.07<\/strong><\/p>\nAsics teamed up with Amsterdam based Patta for a collab that generated much buzz on the web and across the globe. ?The shoes released at Patta in Amsterdam, but friends and fam of the shop were blessed with limited numbers of the shoe and matching bag. ?The shoes made their way to resale sites and consignment shops for $700+ days after release.<\/p>\nAlife x Asics Gel Lyte III "Monster Pack"<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nCollaborator: Alife \nRelease Date: 10.27.07<\/strong><\/p>\nAlife was no stranger to sneaker collaborations when they stepped up to the plate with the Asics Gel Lyte III. ?One could look the silhouette and think of many things, but it takes one hell of a creative mind and\/or some mind altering substances to pull off what Alife did. The public was able to get their hands on two colors of the Monsters, but a thrid pair was was entirely glow in the dark was handed out to just friends and family. ?(Thanks Drucker!)<\/p>\nDavid Z x Asics Gel Lyte III "Solid Gold" & "Stainless Steel"<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nCollaborator: David Z \nRelease Date: 12.14.07<\/strong><\/p>\nTaking cues from what was big for the season, Ronnie Fieg went with two metallic colorups of the Asics Gel Lyte III. ?Unlike any of the previous collabs, the shoes featured a predominantly solid upper and midsole\/outsole with some minute details. ?Both dropped with a matching bag.<\/p>\nAlife Rivington Club x Asics Gel Lyte III<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nCollaborator: Alife Rivington Club \nRelease Date: 6.7.08<\/strong><\/p>\nNext door homies at “The Club” cooked up two tamer colorways of the Asics Gel Lyte III. ?While it was never announced what were the sources of inspirations for the duo, many speculate the shoes borrowed colors from the Curry Air Max 1 and Pigeon Dunks.<\/p>\nDavid Z x Asics Gel Lyte III "Flip OG"<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nCollaborator: David Z \nRelease Date: 6.19.08<\/strong><\/p>\nPeople lined up for the David Z x Asics GT-Quick, but there was a little surprise waiting for those in line. ?For a first time ever for Asics, a surprise Gel Lyte III dropped. ?No online sneak peeks (though we begged) and no description of the shoes online. ?The shoes cooked up were a flip on one of the original colorways replacing the white mesh and white midsoles that tended to get dirty in a hurry with black. ?Good things come to those who wait!<\/p>\nMita x Asics Gel Lyte III<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nCollaborator: mita \nRelease Date: 08.07.08<\/strong><\/p>\nThe Asics Gel Lyte III became the canvas for work from shops in Europe and the US, but Asics finally hooked up with a Japanese shop for a summer 2008 release. The shoes came in four different colorways that were all very unique from any other Gel Lyte release.<\/p>\nSolebox x Asics Gel Lyte III<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nCollaborator: Solebox \nRelease Date: 8.23.08<\/strong><\/p>\nAlife demonstrated that the Gel Lyte III could glow in the dark with their F&F make up of the Monsters, but Solebox treated the shoes to a color changing feature on the Asics stripes and midsole. ?Wear them indoors, the shoes are a beautiful Grey\/White. ?Walk outside and parts of the kicks turn purple. ?The Solebox was exclusive to the German boutique, but a non labelled version later released to other doors, but still in very limited fashion.<\/p>\nDavid Z x Asics Gel Lyte III "Vaiders"<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nCollaborator: David Z \nRelease Date: 10.3.08<\/strong><\/p>\nThese jumped off the same time as the NYC fall. That said, darker tones and durable materials such as patent leather and pig skin made the shoe ready for rocking. Officially known as the “Black Patents” it wouldn’t take a wizard to know why the shoes were known around the web as the “Vaders”.<\/p>\nLaMJC x Asics Gel Lyte III<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nCollaborator: LaMJC \nRelease Date: 12.13.08<\/strong><\/p>\nAsics teamed up with LaMJC for a very fashionable take on the silhouette. The shoe boasts a well curated pallet of colors and dropped with a matching man bag. Only 100 pairs dropped in Paris at Colette and only a size run hit Patta and Solebox.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\nDavid Z x Asics Gel Lyte III "Super Blue"<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nCollaborator: David Z \nRelease Date: 5.1.09<\/strong><\/p>\nAfter a bit of a break, David Z was back with another collab to kick off the summer season. ?The shoes featured a very unique hue of blue nicknamed “super blue” that stood out on the grey toned sneaker. ?All of the shades of grey and blue were tied together in a splattered midsole setting the shoe off.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\nCulture Shoq x Asics Gel Lyte III<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nCollaborator: Culture Shoq \nRelease Date: 7.31.09<\/strong><\/p>\nRonnie Fieg kicked off the three shoe series with influential online outlets for what he referred to as the Triology Project. ?The first shoe that was part of this set was dressed up by lifestyle blog Culture Shoq. ?The shoes sport a greyscale set with just a tad of injected purple tying back to their logo.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\nSnkrs Day x Asics Gel Lyte III<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nCollaborator: Snkrs Day \nRelease Date: 10.1.09 \/ 10.3.09 <\/strong><\/p>\nThe Snkrs Day x Asics Gel Lyte III is the second pair in the three part Triology Project. ?The shoe sports a predominantly red upper with subtle accents of white and grey. ?Materials on the upper feature nubuck, perforated pigskin, patent leather and ballistic mesh.<\/p>\n
