Although Super Bowl 50 may not have been as “aesthetically pleasing” as plenty would’ve hoped for, the beauty in a resounding defensive struggle has all of the merits for a solid game. Last night’s contest proved that as the Denver Broncos helped Peyton Manning secure his second Super Bowl title in potentially his final game with defensive star Von Miller garnering MVP honors. However, with every Super Bowl comes the finality of another NFL season in the books as this year’s campaign incurred a variety of ups-and-downs for each of the 32 teams. Ultimately, with every conclusion comes a celebration as well as this latest edition of Gridiron Kicks Spotlight takes a look at the Top 10 cleats of this past season.

Headlined by Odell Beckham Jr. along with additional stars such as Charles Woodson and Dez Bryant, this list is vast and certainly worth the look. To see more, scroll through the pages below to enjoy.

When: NFC Divisional Playoffs Sported during the NFC Divisional matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, stellar defensive back Sam Shields provided footwear enthusiasts with arguably his greatest model of the season with this custom created by illustrative_cre8ions. With a subdued look that bode well with the Packers’ traditional aesthetics, the accentuation of starred imagery within the upper was a great addition by the DMV artist. Beginning to work with more NFL players during the 2015 season, the aforementioned artist continued to evolve and progress amongst a talented field of artists. When: Week 4 Although Von Miller would cap off his stellar 2015 campaign with a Super Bowl win and MVP honors, his latest season in Denver was certainly dominant from the onset as in Week 4 he would terrorize Teddy Bridgewater and company in the “BCA”-inspired adidas CrazyQuick 2.0. With tonal accents of vibrant pink throughout the upper, Miller would look like a blur rushing steadily from the edge in order to help the Broncos secure a close 23 to 20 victory at home. When: Week 2 Sergio Brown would have one of the best seasons of his career with an expanded role with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Starting within their secondary, he would rock a variety of customs throughout the season with the help of Chicago-bred _abovethemoney. One of the more notable custom makeups was the Jaguars inspired Nike Huarache LE TD that canvassed gold accents throughout the upper with teal hints being spotted on the forefoot. Furthermore, gold lace tips provided further accentuation. When: Week 12 Although Dez Bryant would have an up-and-down season due to injuries and additional injuries decimating his entire team, his style on the field however would remain sharp as he would rock a variety of notable PE’s such as the Air Jordan 12 on Thanksgiving. Donning their “Color Rush” uniforms, which coincidentally looked like Dallas’ throwback uniforms of years past. This Air Jordan PE was dressed in mostly white hues with accents of silver combing the mudguard. When: Week 16 Mohamed Sanu was easily the MVP of the 2015 campaign when it came to footwear. Enlisting the assistance of DezCustomz throughout the season, one of Sanu’s highlights came during a Monday Night Football game against the Denver Broncos at Mile High. With the holiday season right around the corner, Sanu’s cleats utilized “candy cane” features throughout the heel tab, while shades of grey canvassed the entire upper with holiday imagery throughout. When: Week 15 It seems as though cleats thrived whenever teams brought out their “Color Rush” uniforms as these alternate gems would bring about some vibrant gems such as the ones worn by Janoris Jenkins of the “then” St. Louis Rams. Incorporating a monochromatic scheme of yellow and navy, his specific iteration of the Nike Vapor Untouchable fused those same colors but utilized freestyle artwork of SealsBrock within the forefoot and mudguard. When: Week 10 It’s not often that an all-white cleat can make a top-ten countdown but the crispness and rare sighting of this specific PE draws a formidable spot within this season’s list. Debuting this model against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Bryant would turn-in a spotty performance that the Cowboys would ultimately lose within the final minutes. However, the pairing with the “Away” Navy Blue uniforms of the Cowboys certainly added to the sharpness of this PE. When: Pro Bowl Gold is usually reserved for those that commemorate a championship. However, within the NFL, Gold can be attributed to future Hall of Famers and that is certainly what the Jordan brand did for the iconic Charles Woodson during the 2016 Pro Bowl. Utilizing the Air Jordan 7 as a muse, we witnessed tonal accents of Gold throughout, with various shading being spotted as well. Although Woodson’s time on the field during the Pro Bowl would be brief, he may walk away from the NFL being the most decorated football player of all-time. When: Week 14 Prior to his rather controversial matchup with Josh Norman of the Carolina Panthers, Odell Beckham Jr. would put on a show in Miami on Monday Night Football against his good friend Jarvis Landry. With Norman coining himself as the “Dark Knight” of the NFL, it seemed fitting for Beckham to pull out these “Joker” inspired makeups of the Nike Vapor Carbon created by Kickasso. With the iconic imagery of the DC Villain combing the facade of the cleat, we witness Beckham transform his pregame routine into something of an event, as he would do throughout the season. Such as the time he debuted the “Peanuts” themed cleats courtesy of ReconBeatLab and the Nike MAG cleats courtesy of his noted designer Kickasso.10.
