Colon cancer patient Steve “Scuba” Johnson credits the adidas Yeezy 350 Boosts for helping him get through grueling treatments.

In an interview with the Kiel Colon Cancer Foundation – an organization started by our own George Kiel – Johnson shared intimate details and photos of his battle with colon cancer, such as how the chemotherapy blistered both of his feet, how he shattered his ankle on a parking bumper and how even standing in one spot was incredibly painful for him.

In the midst of his most excruciating pain, a friend of Johnson’s convinced him to wear regular sneakers instead of sandals and slides, and he opted to lace up a pair of Yeezy 350 Boost that he had planned to keep on deadstock. Johnson says the Boost did wonders for his feet.

“I was unable to walk because my feet were all blistered up from chemo, so I wore my adidas Yeezy 350 Boost, which I credit to saving my feet,” said Johnson. “The Boost soles felt like clouds on my feet.”
