Swaggy P aka Nick Young of the Los Angeles Lakers had an incredible display showcasing his recent signing with adidas by sporting the ever-so coveted adidas Yeezy Boost 750 during his game against the Houston Rockets. In what grew to be show-stopping fashion, Young would seemingly halt the social media reel and captivate our eyes for the foreseeable future. However, he was not the first player to don a Yeezy inspired makeup during games. In fact, he wasn’t even the first this season.

With that in mind, flip through the pages below of our Kicks On Court Classic column where the first topic at hand is the history of the Yeezy lineage making its way to the NBA hardwood.

To see more, scroll through the page below to enjoy.

Model: Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Black/Solar Red” During the 2012-2013 season, Nate Robinson was arguably the Chicago Bulls’ MVP. With Derrick Rose out for the season as he rehabilitated from his torn ACL, Robinson would help bolster the Bulls’ play off of the bench with clutch scoring and timely defense. Playing for one of his favorite childhood teams, Robinson would spend most of the season rocking an array of Chicago Bull colored kicks within the Air Jordan lineage, but on March 6th of that year he decided to take things up a notch.

In fact, the veteran guard sported the Black/Solar Red Nike Air Yeezy 2 during the matchup in San Antonio. Showcasing the gems both prior and during the contest, Robinson was obviously a #KOC staple. Model: Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October” In 2015, LeBron James and Kanye West are pretty much opposing entities within the sneaker realm. Some may argue that LeBron is Nike’s biggest endorser and Kanye is that to adidas. However, in 2014 during an innocuous NBA Finals shootaround, LeBron James stunned us all by rocking the “Red October” iteration of the Nike Air Yeezy 2.

Hitting shots from all over the floor and not being afraid of destroying the “sneaker grail,” it’s obvious that being a Nike sponsored athlete has its perks. Nonetheless, ‘Bron ‘Bron spent the whole afternoon of that June 7th day being both an icon on the court and an icon of style. Model: Nike Air Yeezy “Zen Grey,” Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Pure Platinum” & “Red October” It’s obvious that P.J. Tucker is coming for the ’15-’16 Kicks On Court crown. I’m not sure who ticked off the Phoenix Suns forward but he’s not stepping away from his elite status anytime soon as he has dominated the sneaker realm this season by sporting three different iteration of the Nike Air Yeezy lineage.

All donned during Suns home games, Tucker recently laced the “Red Octobers” for the Kicks For Kids charity in the greater Phoenix area. Incorporating wins during his time in the models, it’s certain that Mr. Tucker will probably wear the Kanye West signature again this season. Model: adidas Yeezy Boost 750 Nick Young has an interesting way of letting the world know of his recent signing to a prominent sneaker brand. And to be honest, when dealing with Nick Young, we wouldn’t want it any other way. Nonetheless, the LA-bred guard took the floor Saturday night against the Houston Rockets sporting the inaugural colorway of the adidas Yeezy Boost 750. Incurring a stat line in which his only assist was to Kobe Bryant, it seems fitting for Swaggy P to be exactly that during the contest.

All in all, with his love of fashion canvassing his Instagram account, it seems like Jon Wexler and company could eventually have some adidas Originals collaborations in the works for Mr. Young.

Swaggy P aka Nick Young of the Los Angeles Lakers had an incredible display showcasing his recent signing with adidas…

[835,1223981
1225551,1223982

2":"type-post

Nate Robinson
