words \/\/ Nick DePaula:<\/strong><\/p>\n While some so-called industry experts might trollfully call Skechers “the hottest sneaker brand,” volume sales be damned, they’re consistently missing the bigger picture of what’s taking place here.<\/p>\n This is a brand that for years has literally been stealing designs and technology from the industry’s actual leading innovators, and then re-packages them in a dumbed-down and most importantly, cheaper<\/em> silhouette for a mass consumer that knows nothing about sneakers.<\/p>\n There’s no other way to put it.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re firing on all cylinders with product initiatives and fresh innovative footwear styles that are clearly resonating with consumers,” Skechers President Michael Greenberg said last year<\/a>\u00a0after yet another growth quarter.<\/p>\n As we get into the close of 2015, once again, Skechers’ recent “fresh innovative footwear styles” draw on pretty direct inspiration, to put it lightly.<\/p>\n
