The Third Coast is alive as well.

The East Coast and West Coast have a number of well-known hip hop sneaker enthusiasts, but there are a few Southern rap artists that own large shoe collections as well. Following our “Sneak Peek” inside Ludacris’ multi-closet collection yesterday, we take a look at some of the most well-known southern hip hop sneakerheads in the game today.

Big K.R.I.T.

Big K.R.I.T. is a well-known Jordan enthusiasts. The Mississippi native has a specific affinity for the Jordan Spizike – in addition to the Air Jordan 11 – and has a ton of both in his collection. He is also a regular at the Snkrs Day shop in Austin and at Flight Club on both coasts.

Bun B

Bun B is like the godfather of the south when it comes to sneakers, and he is one of the few that collects sneakers from every brand. He regularly gets Jordans and Nike Air Force 1s weeks before they come out, has designed his own sneakers for brands such as PRO-Keds and Greedy Genius and has created some of the best Bespokes we’ve ever seen. He is simultaneously a Houston legend and a sneakerhead king.

Jermaine Dupri

In our interview with Bow Wow a couple years back, he stated that no one can hold a candle to Jermaine Dupri’s sneaker collection. The music producer is known to have a garage space full of all original Air Jordans at his Atlanta home. There’s also video footage floating around of his massive closet full of Jordans.

Ludacris

Ludacris is truly an Air Force 1 aficionado. The ATL rapper and actor is an avid Jordan fan as well, but deep in the depths of his four-closet collection are tons of Air Force 1s from the Nelly era of Uptowns.
